Green power is a subset of renewable energy and represents those renewable energy resources and technologies that provide the highest environmental benefit. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) defines green power as electricity produced from renewable sources such as solar, wind, geothermal, biogas, eligible biomass, and low-impact small hydroelectric sources.
CMA in its quest for a better environment, produces green power from own solar panels since 2011. From March 2011 to December 2016 CMA solar panels has produced 317,707 kWh, equivalent to CO2 emission reduction of 245 tons.
This 245 tons greenhouse gas emissions of Carbon Dioxide are equivalent to:
CMA installed 156 Sunmodule SW245 solar panels by SolarWorld on two rooftop structures back in 2011. The system includes 6 SunnyBoy 6000US inverters producing an average of 160kWh per day.
